Prologue
For our Oral History project, Lindsay Jones and I decided to interview Stephanie Lasch, a student at the UMDNJ, studying to be Registered Dietician. We were aiming to focus on the effects of a high protein diet. She was a well qualified source because she also works as a DTR at Total Fitness, where she helps the gym members come up with diet plans for their workout and goals. She has a passion for high protein diets, and dietary topics in general. Below I have listed the main questions that were asked in our interview. Stephanie was a great source to use for an interview.

Afterlogue
After interviewing Stephanie Lasch, we were very pleased with the information that she provided. She gave us facts, opinions, and even research that she had conducted throughout her schooling. Stephanie feels very strongly that eating well-balanced meals is the best way to diet. She gave us an equation for the recommended amount of protein each person should receive daily. This type of diet is important for people who have AIDS, HIV, burn victims, the elderly, or even young children that are growing. The protein recommendation for an average individual is .8g/kg of body weight. Active individuals’ protein intake should range from 1.2-1.8g/kg of body weight. It is important to know that anyone with kidney disease should not be on this diet. Stephanie is a very valuable source for our project and plan to use a lot of what she said in our collaborative research project.
