Prologue
Welcome
to my Twitterive. What is a twitterive? This is an assignment for my Writing
Research and Technology class. I will be multimodal. Which means many genres.
Prologue of “January 26, 2007”
My Inspiration: I tweeted “January
26, 2007 the worst day of my life.” This tweet started all my wheels turning.
My Place: This is home. Something I have been messing around with as I
have been preparing things for the twitterive has been that home is not where I
am its where my family is. So I’m not sure if my place is home. Maybe it is
family. I am still trying to figure this part out.
My theme: My theme is what I felt that day and still to this day. The theme of those feelings came
from the fact that my hose burnt down. It wasn’t the physical hose I cared
about, it was really the memories and animals that I had in there.
My Repetend: This would probably be that I say home. I try to bring the reader back
to home. And the feeling of their home.
First I want to ask what you would grab if your house was on fire. How would you get out, do you
have an escape plan? But what if you weren't home? What if you were supposed to
be home? Could you stop the fire or would you get caught in it?
I always thought of these questions before and then after. I would always say my animals,
and the list would go on and on. I always said if I would have went home that
day I would have opened the garage and tried to get all my animals.

I always thought of these questions before and then after. I would always say my animals,
and the list would go on and on. I always said if I would have went home that
day I would have opened the garage and tried to get all my animals.
That day began like any other day; I drove to school in the morning. It was my senior
year and I got to leave early everyday for work release. Usually I went home
before I went to work. But that day I went straight to work. If I would have
gone home I would have tried to save all my animals. When I went to work that
day I was supposed to leave early but my boss would not let me leave. She kept
thinking of every excuse to keep me there. When my dad showed up at my work I
knew something was wrong. The look on my dads face, made me immediately start
crying. I thought something happen to my mom or my sister. Never in a million
years did I think my house would be on fire. The drive was only ten minutes but
it felt like ten hours. When we got closer to my house, the road was blocked
off. They let us through because we told them it was our house. The street was
filled with fire trucks. All the towns around us were there.
We watched our house burn down from my neighbor’s house. That was the worst thing in the world
to know you could not do anything about what was happening. The only good thing
that happened that night was that my family was all there and no one was hurt. I
remember that day was so cold; the driveway was a sheet of ice which made it
harder to fight the fire.

Best Western
We stayed at the best western that night and several nights after that. We couldn’t
stay there long because we had animals and things to take care of where we
lived. The first night in the hotel nobody slept. It was hard to when all you
can think about is "I just lost everything." We all finally got out of bed at
four in the morning and decided to go to Walmart. The only place open
twenty-four hours.

Our Temporary Home
This was just temporary. They sat this trailer on our front yard until our house was completely built. We stayed in this trailer from January to September, eight long months. That was fun.
When I needed you, you were there
When I didn't, you were there
When I cried, you were there
When I didn't know where I was going, you were there
I have realized in life that I need you
That's why I am happy you are still here
When I didn't, you were there

Friends,
neighbors, and people we had never met.
1. Dropped off food every night (even enough for the people there to help us).
2. Donated blankets and clothes.
3. Donated money and cards.
4. Cards were brought for many days after the fire.
5. We were given support from everyone around us.

Green for the Greens
Our family was there from the start. They orchestrated a beef and beer to help raise money.
R.I.P Destiney and her three puppies, and Daisy.
This poem was donated to us with a basket full of rottweiler memorabilia.
Destiny was in the garage the time of the fire. She was with her three puppies at the time. We found her body on top of her puppies, trying to save them from the smoke. It’s sad to think what was going through her head. She was a good mother till the end. We were very sad to lose her.
We also lost our cat Daisy; she was mistakenly locked in the house that day. She was the sweetest calico cat.
(This is Destiny when she was a puppy, we did not have any older
pictures of her)

Star
Our cat Star was also in the garage at the time of the fire. Somehow she jumped out
of a window. Star came back nine days after the fire. The smoke detector was
still going off in the house after the fire. It was an uncomfortable sound to
hear when we would walk outside. So my dad went in the house and took it down.
That day she came back home. She still to this day does not like the sound of
the smoke detector. She freaks out and try’s to get out of the house anyway
possible. When she came back her fur and ears were singed. When we took her to
the vet they said she would be ok. A couple months later her hair grew out; she
looks like the cat we knew before the fire.

The Rebuilding of our Home
I have always really been home, home is where my family is. No matter where we are!
(Please read the first part walking down stairs and the second coming up the stairs.)
Welcome Home
Never think it could happen to you what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
The worst day ever everything I need is here
It's hard to leave so warm and comfortable
Cold Family
I hate this I'm finally home

Afterwards
I still have to revise a lot of the text I have added. The reason I didn't cut
anything out yet is because when we review it I want a lot of stuff to be in
there, and then people can tell me what I don't need.
I do have a video that I am still working on editing. It’s us walking through the rubble of my
house. Trying to figure out what to save and what to get rid of.
I want to add more repetend. The fact of the word home and define it in my words and
the dictionary.
